New preprint by Mihailo Čubrović

We are happy to anounce that the most recent work by Mihailo Čubrović,”Wormholes and out-of-time ordered correlators in gauge/gravity
duality”,is now available on arXiv.  This paper will help us to bridge the gap between the study of holographic non-Fermi liquids at equilibrium, which is the main line of our project, and their dynamical properties, i.e., quantum chaos and the response to perturbations. The latter is encapsulated in Loschmidt-echo-type physics, and can be a sensitive tool to test how close our holographic model is to the strange metal phenomenology including strong quantum chaos and universal, Planck-scale dominated hydrodynamic response.

End of the second quarter

It is the end of the second quarter of our project implementation. In the last three months our computational cluster got updated, and we are well on our way developing a new set of codes. Mihailo Čubrović is already optimizing AdS model parameters to improve agreement with the Hubbard model, and Veljko is fully up to speed, and already made great progress with a new method for calculating density and density correlations in the Hubbard model.

Equipment arrives

We are happy to announce that our computational cluster has grown in size considerably, and that we now have 864 active CPU cores, and more is yet to come! This is a great improvement that we feel in our everyday work. We wish to thank our sys admins for a seemless integration of new equipment, a very stable operating system and a great user support!

New preprint

We are happy to announce a new preprint https://arxiv.org/abs/2011.08226 , “Analytical solution for time-integrals in diagrammatic expansions: application to real-frequency diagrammatic Monte Carlo”. This is a very promising new approach to obtaining frequency spectra in strongly correlated systems. The work is done by J. Vučičević in collaboration with MSc student Pavle Stipsić and our long time collaborator from College de France, Paris, Michel Ferrero.
